Overview

There’s a reason the evening desert safari is Dubai’s most-booked experience, and this one delivers every part of it, properly.

Your adventure begins with a private 4×4 pickup from your hotel in the mid-to-late afternoon, heading straight into the iconic Lahbab red dunes. An experienced driver takes the wheel for a heart-racing dune bashing session across sculpted golden desert terrain, the kind that has first-timers gripping the handle and grinning at the same time.

Once the dunes settle, the pace slows just enough to enjoy a traditional camel ride as the afternoon light softens, followed by an iconic falcon photography session, one of those distinctly Emirati moments that never gets old. Then comes the highlight that stops everyone mid-sentence: the Dubai desert sunset, watched from a scenic dune viewpoint as the sky turns from amber to deep red above the sand.

As the stars begin to appear, a sandboard session fills the gap before you’re welcomed into a premium Bedouin-style desert camp. Here, live cultural performances, including the spinning Tanoura dance, play out around you, while henna artists work their designs and the smell of grilled food fills the cool evening air. Dinner is a generous shared buffet, or upgrade to VIP for a served meal at a reserved table with a superior view of the entertainment stage.

The night ends with a comfortable 4×4 transfer back to your hotel, dunes done, dinner done, memories made.

Q: What time does the evening safari start and end?
A: Pickup is typically between 3:00–3:30 PM. The full experience - including the camp dinner and entertainment - wraps up around 9:00–9:30 PM, with your return transfer arriving shortly after.
Q: Are buggy and quad rides included?
A: They're optional paid add-ons you can select when booking — choose a quad or a Polaris/Can-Am buggy. They aren't included in the base price.
Q: Is this tour suitable for children and families?
A: Yes, all ages are welcome on this tour. The camel ride, henna art, and Tanoura performances are especially popular with families. Dune bashing is the only activity that carries a mild health caution, if in doubt for very young children or anyone with health concerns, speak to us before booking.
Q: What's the difference between the Shared and Private options?
A: The Shared option seats you with other guests in the vehicle and camp — social, great value, VIP camp seating included. The Private option gives your group its own 4×4 for up to 6 people, with VIP camp seating included. Both cover the same activities; Private just means your own vehicle and more flexibility.
