Drift over the Dubai desert at sunrise on a hot air balloon flight that climbs to over 4,000 feet. It’s one of the calmest, most spectacular ways to see the emirate, the dunes stretching out in every direction as the sun comes up.

Your morning starts before dawn with hotel pickup and transfer to the launch site. After a safety briefing, you’ll watch the balloon inflate, then lift off just before sunrise for a flight of around one hour. An experienced pilot guides you over the golden dunes, with 360-degree views of the desert and its wildlife below.

After a gentle landing, you’ll receive a flight certificate signed by your pilot. Add the breakfast option to enjoy a meal after your flight, or keep it to the flight alone.

Because ballooning is a licensed aviation activity, a valid passport or Emirates ID is required for every passenger, and some health and weight restrictions apply. Please read the notes below before booking.

Q: What time does the tour start?

A: Very early, pickup is pre-dawn (the balloon launches around sunrise). Your exact pickup time is confirmed the evening before via WhatsApp.

Q: What documents do I need to fly?

A: Aviation regulations require a valid passport or Emirates ID copy for every passenger before the flight, plus a signed waiver at the launch site. Guests without valid ID cannot fly.

Q: Are there health or weight restrictions?

A: Yes. The flight isn't suitable for pregnant travellers, children under 5, guests over 70, or anyone with heart conditions, serious back or knee problems, recent major surgery, or a fear of heights. A weight limit of 119 kg applies (above this needs pilot approval and may incur a charge). You'll need to climb in and out of the basket and bend for landing.

Q: What's the difference between the two options?

A: Both include the full balloon flight, certificate, transfers, and refreshments. The Breakfast option adds a meal after your flight; the flight-only option doesn't.

Q: What happens if the weather cancels my flight?

A: Ballooning depends on weather, and the pilot has the final call on safety grounds. If your flight is cancelled, you'll be offered the next available date or a full refund.

Pickup time is confirmed the evening before via WhatsApp, a valid WhatsApp number is required at booking. Be ready at least 10 minutes early, as delays can mean missing the flight. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before; within 48 hours the booking is non-refundable.
